Chanel Blue Satin - Navy is the new black.

Chanel's latest must have nail polish for the tootsies is the truly gorgeous 'blue satin' and yes it is worth the twenty or so euro price tag if you can be bothered playing the waiting game at your local branch of Brown Thomas/upmarket chemist.
Generally I can bypass all of the silliness due to the fact that I live in Galway..this sort of thing never sells out..except for that short, strange period of time just before the Galway races when every jumper wearing, red-faced lassie scans U magazine with the ferocity of Avila Lipsett reading the back page of the 'Living' section of the Sindo.
For some strange reason this year is different and when the Chanel sales assistant in BT Galway suggested adding my name to their waiting list I was surprised and I declined.

Instead I popped down the street to Boots where Rimmel have launched the summer colours for their 'Maxx Wear' nail polish. The bottle isn't as pretty but I think its whats inside that counts and at the considerably reduced price of €5.99, colour number 397 'Electric' is fantastic value. It does look a little more electric blue and there appears to be a shimmer to it when you see it in the bottle...until you apply it.
Navy heaven.

Is it just me?
